BlackCircle Late, but still greatest disovery of 2021 for myself - cannot wait to drop the needle on this one Favorite track: The Dusty Floor.

Ted Hemsley I'm into my 6th decade of loving music now. it's not unusual to come across younger bands/artists using older stuff as inspiration or plagiarism; it's often fun. this is different. it's got a freshness and originality which is delightful and hugely impressive. I'm hearing everything from Lou Reed to nick Drake and Donovan. I love the spare and spacey mix as well. brilliant. well done 👍

Sumilumi Stumbled by this lovely work, it had my ear immediate. Great songs true and good. Nods to connie nick and canterbury with Nashville resolve but never too far with plenty pure to surprise.
Has me start to end no friction, no fatigue, no bull

Thank you Spencer, band and production. Beautiful work. More please 🙏

Four, four in the morning Coughing, yawning Day, daylight is boring Close my eyes ignoring One day at a time On paper I’m fine Put my heart to the test Oh lord I’m a mess A jack of fools such as I Fly, fly away sorrow Hide yourself til tomorrow Poets preachers and scholars Read me my tarot One day at a time On paper I’m fine Put my heart to the test Oh lord I’m a mess A jack of fools such as I Pull my heart from my chest One of life’s little tests A jack of fools such as I
2.
The clock it knocks to a sudden stop and I hear distant laughter Another day in paradise the sun is hot let’s wait for some disaster Would you believe That the birds and the bees could the vanish In the air But I don’t care Delicately mumbling and stuttering or answer I’m sorry I intruded was I ever made to feel that welcome Would you believe That the birds and the bees could the vanish In the air But I don’t care
3.
Thought that growing old was so easy Now it’s hard to stand when you’ve fallen down Always getting in the way Never knowing what to say At parties Being unaware that your clothes won’t fit Headaches in the morning from a glass of wine Do you know who you are, your not quite the star...you dreamed of Telling old stories and reminiscing Digging up ghost and tales from your wardrobe Your a angrier man, you don’t understand The niceties “Tombre En Morceaux”
4.
Night time come And I see you standing there In the corner of my room Head bowed down and aloof Poisoning my every breath Pushing down on my chest My imminent shadow Grandfather couldn’t run from you Age let his guard down slow Mind as sharp as a knife turns to Cotten when you show You wait in silence when I was young When I was innocent and free My imminent shadow

Please tell me that you need me right now Don’t make me wait..the suffering Like those clothes that just stay in my case The dusty floor an empty room Days pass so slowly The night gets so much more lonely Some may say that love isn’t real That’s hard to hear, that can’t be true Cause I’m those movies, there’s plenty of tears Those sad old songs , and poems too Days pass so slowly The night gets so much more lonely

My Protector 05:40
I cannot leave you all alone We’re so alike but your still full of wonder All we’re after is a happy home To return to home I’ll give you everything and anything I’ll be your protector No more arguments let’s just keep on walking All we’re after is a happy home To return to home To hear your feet tip tapping across the room Make no mistake we’ll stick together like glue All we’re after is a happy home To return to home
9.
The Tree 02:58
I had a tree In the dream hills where my childhood lay And I'd go there in the wide long days And my tree would listen to all that I'd say And the sun was shining brightly and the sky was smiling Then one day when the world had put me in its tomb And my life was just an empty room I went to my tree and I sat there in my gloom And the light was fading dimly and the sky was crying Then my tree bent its branches low down to the ground And its green leaves shrouded up my mind And I left the world somewhere behind And I didn't not know what I would find And the sun was shining brightly and the sky was smiling (Repeat)
